Step 1: Set Up and Verify Google Business Profile

This is the single highest-return SEO action for any local business. A verified Google Business Profile means you appear in the local "map pack" — the three business listings that appear above organic search results for searches like "web design company in Sangrur" or "plumber near me".

  • Add your correct address, phone number and hours
  • Upload real photos of your team, office and work
  • Ask every satisfied client for a Google review

Step 2: Fix Your Website's Technical Foundation

Before any content strategy, your website needs to be technically sound:

  • Mobile-friendly — over 75% of Indian internet users browse on mobile
  • Fast loading — pages that take more than 3 seconds to load lose most visitors
